Students of university of Jos shut down campus entrances in protest of student deaths, lack of facilities

students of the University of Jos have locked down all entrances to the school, preventing access to and from the premises.



 The protest, which began early Monday morning, was sparked by the death of two students who reportedly died due to lack of adequate facilities in the school clinic, as well as other challenges such as poor hostel conditions, filled soakaways, and lack of water and electrical stability.



Speaking with one of the of protesters who plead anonymity, he said “ why will students pay for all these facilities and yet they are not provided" 



One of the student who addressed protesters said the gate will remain locked until their needs are taken into consideration.
